NBCU and Target Partner to Elevate BIPOC Filmmakers With Scene in Color Series

Three filmmakers will showcase their short films and receive script deals with the network

NBCUniversal (NBCU), Target, and award-winning producer Will Packer are partnering to give a platform to creators of color.

On Thursday, the network will be kicking off its summer movie nights with the intent of spotlighting BIPOC storytellers through its new Scene in Color Film Series. The program will feature three emerging filmmakers—Addison Wright, Ewurakua Dawson-Amoah and Kristian King— as they share stories that center on Black lives.

As part of the Scene in Color series, each filmmaker will get to showcase their short film across NBCU networks and digital properties, including the Peacock
