This Is Us, broadcast’s biggest scripted entertainment series in the adults 18-49 demo most coveted by advertisers, is preparing to take its final bow.
NBC’s hit family drama will end in the 2022-23 season, after Season 6, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The network, which declined comment to Adweek, is expected to announce the show’s conclusion on Friday, when it unveils next season’s broadcast lineup ahead of NBCUniversal’s upfront event on Monday.
The show went from being an abandoned film script to a breakout hit when it debuted in 2016.
