Fox’s time travel drama Terra Nova has been one of the season’s most anticipated new series, if only because of its high-profile auspices—Steven Spielberg and former News Corp. president and COO Peter Chernin are executive producers.

Adding to that anticipation has been a flurry of news reports that rarely bode well for TV projects: production delays, staff changes and rising costs—the two-hour opener reportedly costs $14 million alone. All of which convinced Fox executives to postpone the series’ premiere, and instead launch the show as they did with Glee: a May event followed by a fall premiere.
