Hulu Marketer Pato Spagnoletto Jumps to Discovery DTC as Global CMO

He will work to globally scale the new Discovery+ streamer

Discovery Inc. has poached another top Hulu exec as it continues to build out its fledgling Discovery+ streaming service. The company has hired Patrizio “Pato” Spagnoletto as global chief marketing officer, Discovery direct-to-consumer.

In the newly created position, Spagnoletto will oversee a unified global direct-to-consumer marketing organization as Discovery+ works to scale across North America and globally. He will be responsible for subscriber acquisition, retention and growth, media and analytics, brand awareness, marketing creative development and strategy and consumer insights.
