Succession fans have been waiting more than two years to find out what will happen following the explosive, family-rift-making press conference featuring slighted second son Kendall Roy that capped off Season 2 and spurred months of fan discussion and theorizing.

Luckily for viewers, they will soon have answers when the pandemic-delayed Season 3 premieres on HBO and HBO Max on Oct. 17.

“We had that narrative bomb dropped at the end of the season, and it felt like, let’s just pick up the pieces,” show creator, writer and showrunner Jesse Armstrong told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s annual summer press tour, which continues to be held virtually due to Covid-19.
