Fox’s Marianne Gambelli on Early Upfront Talks and Using Tubi to Grab Shifting Ad Dollars

Despite viewership changes, brands ‘still need the scale of broadcast’


The upfronts week presentations have ended, and now it’s time for the real work: the negotiations. Adweek is sitting down with each of the ad sales chiefs who presented this week to talk about their respective events and their strategies for navigating this year’s marketplace.

Following NBCUniversal’s Mark Marshall, next up is Marianne Gambelli, Fox’s president of advertising sales. During Fox’s upfront presentation on Monday, she reminded marketers that unlike most of their rivals, her company is entirely ad-supported, with none of its content behind a paywall that advertisers can’t access.
