Like a lot of its sister Fox Television Stations, WAGA in Atlanta announced Thursday (Sept. 3) it will expand its local morning programming. Beginning Sept. 14, WAGA will add Good Day Xtra, an hour-long news and lifestyle program at 9 a.m., following Good Day Atlanta.

With the addition of Good Day Xtra, WAGA will broadcast 55.5 hours of live, locally-produced news each week, more than any other station in the market.

Good Day Xtra will be hosted by weekend sports anchor Karen Graham and Good Day Atlanta meteorologist Jeff Hill, featuring the latest news, entertainment, lifestyle and health stories.

“We invite viewers to relax, pour a second cup of coffee and extend their mornings with some news, entertainment, weather and fun,” said Gene McHugh, vp and general manager for WAGA.
