Following up on a pledge to split its development season in two, Fox has made a pilot commitment to Glee, a one-hour comedy from Nip/Tuck creator Ryan Murphy.
Set in the world of high school glee clubs, Fox reportedly is fast-tracking the project as a potential midseason companion piece to American Idol. Each episode is to include four popular songs to be performed on screen by the show’s fictional choirs.
Produced by 20th Century Fox TV, Glee was created by Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan.
