Fast and Furious, Marvel and Bond Highlight Super Bowl Movie Trailers

F9 kicked off this year's in-game ads

With 30-second spots for Super Bowl LIV running upward of $5.6 million, more Hollywood studios were expected to forego airing movie ads during the game this year in favor of pre- and postgame shows.

Surprisingly, more film studios aired trailers for their blockbuster franchises on Sunday night than in 2019, which only saw spots from Marvel Studios and Universal. While Paramount Pictures aired the trailer for A Quiet Place: Part II during pregame and Disney aired a new trailer for Mulan after the coin toss, Disney’s Marvel Studios, Universal and MGM all aired trailers for upcoming additions to their blockbuster franchises.
