William Lewis, CEO of Dow Jones and publisher of The Wall Street Journal, will step down from the roles he’s held for nearly six years.

Lewis began in his position as interim CEO in 2014 after Lex Fenwick resigned from the News Corp-owned company. The news of Lewis’ departure was originally reported by the Financial Times.

Lewis told The New York Times that he was not told his contract would not be renewed. “Frankly, it’s time for me to get home to London,” he told the Times.

Spokespersons for News Corp and Dow Jones did not immediately return a request for comment.
