DirecTV Taps Amy Leifer as First Ad Sales Chief

She previously held leadership roles at Xandr and WarnerMedia

DirecTV has named Amy Leifer its chief advertising sales officer in a newly-created role, leading ad sales solutions across DirecTV and DirecTV Stream.

The move comes as part of the integration of the DirecTV ad sales business, working to return to a singular focus on the video experience.

“We’re just really excited to have focus on the DirecTV video product,” Leifer told Adweek. “The team has obviously been doing other things the last few years, but what we’re really excited about is bringing that focus back to DirecTV and leading with our data-driven products and portfolio.”

“With more than 25 years of experience in media, Amy possesses a unique understanding of the advertising marketplace,” said DirecTV CEO Bill Morrow, to whom Leifer will report, in a statement.
