Ann Curry, longtime news anchor for NBC’s Today, is expected to take her place in the co-host spot following an announcement from NBC later today. Meredith Vieira’s exit from the show after five years opens up the much-coveted host gig alongside Matt Lauer.

The move creates a ripple effect within the NBC family, moving the 9 a.m. anchor of Today, Natalie Morales, to the news anchor spot and the network’s White House correspondent, Savannah Guthrie, to the 9 a.m.
