Chris McCarthy, Brian Robbins Given Global CEO Roles in ViacomCBS Restructuring

Additionally, CBS chief George Cheeks expands oversight to all of the company’s free international networks

Last week, several top ViacomCBS executives—including Chris McCarthy, Brian Robbins and George Cheeks—were promoted as part of a broad restructuring and expansion of the executive team overseeing Paramount+’s programming strategy.

Just eight days later, those three have received even bigger promotions—and given global CEO responsibilities—in yet another ViacomCBS reorganization, this one aimed at simplifying the company’s global leadership structure.

McCarthy, president of MTV Entertainment Group, has been named president and CEO of that brand group, while Robbins, president of kids and family entertainment, has been promoted to president and CEO of Nickelodeon.
