CBS has become the latest broadcast network to stock up on prime-time specials and big series orders as it looks to compete with a growing number of streaming services.
The network has given a series commitment to Clarice, which will follow Clarice Starling, the FBI trainee played by Jodie Foster in 1991’s Silence of the Lambs—which was based on the Thomas Harris novel—a year after the events of that story.
CBS will also air three new The Price Is Right prime-time celebrity specials this spring.
