Many of the 2018 Super Bowl ads were mysterious to viewers. Some didn’t show or even announce the name of the brand until the very end. Were they perhaps too mysterious for the average person? The Adweek TV and Video teams braved the frigid Times Square conditions on Monday to show passersby the first few seconds from a number of Super Bowl ads and have them guess what brands they thought the commercials were for. Two out of the 13 people we quizzed guessed the correct brand.
