Brien Kennedy was named vp and general manager of WCCO-TV, CBS Television’s owned and operated station in Minneapolis. He replaces Susan Adams Loyd who recently announced she would leave the station as of June 7.
For the past three years, Kennedy served as evp of Freedom Broadcasting and general manager of WPEC-TV, Freedom’s CBS affiliate in West Palm Beach. Prior to Freedom, Kennedy managed several TV stations, including serving as station manager for WTVX-TV in West Palm Beach, at the time, Viacom Television’s UPN affiliate.
