Steve Burns, the original host of the beloved Nick Jr. series Blue’s Clues, went viral on Twitter Tuesday after finally addressing his sudden departure from the show back in 2002.

As part of a campaign to honor the series’ 25th anniversary, Burns recorded a message to fans regarding the time that “Steve went to college” and gave the series over to his brother Joe, played by Donovan Patton, when he walked out the door of the show.
