Animal Planet Is Teaming Up With The Dodo for a Heartwarming New TV Show

The Dodo, known online for its heartwarming and investigative animal stories, just announced a first-of-its-kind programming project with Animal Planet.

Tentatively called Dodo Heroes, viewers will be able to watch stories from around the world about the unique connection between humans and the great lengths they’ve gone to in order to rescue animals. The six hourlong episodes, which premiere in 2018, include a former British Royal Marine who has reunited more than 700 street dogs with the soldiers who adopted them in Afghanistan and a doctor who builds custom prosthetics for animals of all sizes, among many other stories.

“These are compelling and moving stories about the powerful relationship between animals and people, and together, we are proud to share them around the globe on every screen,” said Susanna Dinnage, global president of Animal Planet.
