AMC Networks COO Ed Carroll Stepping Down After 34 Years

Long-term AMC Networks chief operating officer Ed Carroll is leaving the company at the end of the year after a 34-year tenure.

Top line

Carroll, who was was named COO in 2009, and was instrumental to the success of some of AMC Networks’ most brand-defining series, including Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Walking Dead and Killing Eve.

“For decades, Ed has been the heart and soul of AMC Networks,” said Josh Sapan, who was recently named AMC Networks executive vice chairman, in a statement.
