Walmart Partners With Adobe to Sell Its Retail Technology

The discount giant is taking a page out of rival Amazon's playbook to fuel profits

In particular, the discount retailer will begin offering a number of capabilities tied to online and in-store fulfillment, pickup and delivery via a subscription beginning in early 2022.

In order to make these omnichannel technologies available, Walmart is integrating its marketplace with Adobe Commerce, which is a transaction solution offered by the software provider to merchants and brands.

Between the lines

Walmart is offering its services to businesses seeking to develop their digital capabilities, as consumers increasingly shop both online and in physical stores.
