With a spike in Covid-19 cases, big brands began pulling out

The 2022 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in-person conference will go on next week. But hundreds of brands and thousands of attendees will forgo the annual trip to Las Vegas as Covid infections spike to record numbers.

Procter & Gamble, Google, GM, AT&T, Amazon, Meta and TikTok are among brands to have pulled out of an in-person presence at the world’s biggest technology show. The event will take place in person and virtually, starting Wednesday, Jan. 5.
