THC-Infused Drink Partners With Skateboard Star Briana King for Potent New Product

Emerging brand Green Monké collaborates with the athlete-activist on package design, consumer outreach

As an athlete and activist, Briana King has launched meetups in cities across America and internationally for “girls, gays and theys” to skateboard in safe and supportive environments.

Along the way, the model-actor—who starred in the coming-of-age drama Skate Kitchen—has collaborated with heavyweight brands such as Apple, Nike and Squarespace, while Vogue has called her a “Dior muse” for her work with the luxury fashion house.

The latest partnership on King’s growing roster is with Green Monké, a THC-spiked beverage that’s introducing a 10-milligram brand extension with the influencer as its public face.

It’s a strategic move—and a meeting of like minds—for a year-old brand that describes itself as “hyper inclusive and approachable,” according to Jen Lockwood, Green Monké’s CMO, noting that King has cultivated a judgement-free community of women and LGBTQ+ skateboarders in a traditionally male-dominated sport.
