Nordstrom's New Podcast Is a Family Affair

The Nordy Pod promises 'warts and all' insights

Department store chain Nordstrom is launching a behind-the-scenes podcast hosted by Pete Nordstrom, president and chief brand officer—and great-grandson of founder John Nordstrom.

The first episode of the podcast, Nordy Pod, went live on Jan. 31 featuring Mickey Drexler, the former CEO of J.Crew and the Gap and current CEO of clothing brand Alex Mill, along with one of Nordstrom’s personal stylists.

According to the retailer, the show will “take listeners behind the scenes of our 120-year-old business, inviting them to eavesdrop on conversations with fashion industry insiders, designers, celebrities and other noteworthy friends of Nordstrom.”

A spokesperson noted the series from the Seattle-based retailer will have “a strong Seattle focus.”
