Sam's Club enters the NIL space with student sports grants

In the nearly four decades since its inception, Sam’s Club has modeled its approach to retail after its founder, the late entrepreneur Sam Walton, who sought to keep prices low for small business owners and organizations with the aim of building self-sufficient communities.

That dedication to Walton’s legacy is being extended into the world of college sports. To show support for local athletes, Sam’s Club is offering grants of $10,000 to 10 qualifying candidates. But there’s a catch: They have to share some version of the name of the brand’s founder, Sam.
