Instacart Offers $1M in Advertising Credits to Black-Owned Brands

It’s one of six commitments to prioritize diversity, equity and belonging

Online grocery platform Instacart is committing up to $1 million in advertising credits to help boost Black-owned consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands on the platform.

Top line

Specifically, the grocery delivery service is offering brands credits for its Featured Products offering. The credits are valid through 2021.

Featured Products give advertisers “premium digital shelf space” in browse, discovery and search placements across the Instacart marketplace. The ads can help boost sales, increase trials and awareness and drive higher category share.

Between the lines

Instacart is also establishing a support team and a monthly training series to ensure eligible brands “maximize the impact of their advertising campaigns.”
