Petco, the pets retailer that rebranded as a health and wellness company in October 2020, announced an expanded partnership with online marketplace Rover.com to offer a range of pet services like pet sitting, boarding and dog walking.
Customers will be able to access Rover services for dogs and cats directly on Petco.com.
These services include: day and night pet care in a sitter’s home; overnight pet care in the pet’s home; and walks in the pet’s neighborhood, as well as “drop-in visits” that include “potty breaks, quick play dates and litter box cleaning for cats.”
The retailer is also using this as an opportunity to encourage customers to sign up for its Vital Care membership program, which offers services like vet exams, as well as discounts on grooming, for $19 a month.
