Feeling Nostalgic? Reimagined Pop Songs Are the Holiday Ad Soundtrack of 2021

We can trace this trend toward oldies to one U.K. advertising giant

If you listen closely to the holiday ads released so far this year, you’ll notice the soundtrack could very well double as a set list for an adult contemporary radio station.

Of course, plenty of ads still have orchestral scores or lean on traditional holiday tunes, but many brands—including quite a few retailers—are setting their end-of-year ads to what we might call golden oldies.
