These Custom Sailor Jerry Holiday Sweaters Showcase Tattoos

The brand is named after a tattoo artist in Hawaii

Sometimes parents just don’t understand, and that goes double when it comes to tattoos. Though body art has only increased in quality and popularity over the years, tattoos can still be a springboard for awkward conversations around the dinner table with family members who disapprove.

Rum brand Sailor Jerry, however, is inviting consumers not to hide their tattoos but rather to display them with pride, as it also honors the 92-proof rum’s namesake.

Better known today as a spiced rum, Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins became famous in the tattoo world when he established a tattoo parlor in WWII-era Honolulu, becoming one of the most famous traditional tattoo artists of all time specializing in Navy tattoos.

Now, the rum brand is inviting fans to post images of their tattoos on Instagram with the hashtag #SJHolidaySweater or to DM the brand a photo through Dec.
