Campbell's Chunky Soup Wants to Be Your Lunch

The brand introduces a new tagline for its 2021 NFL season ad campaign

Football season is here. That means soup season is, too.

Since 1997, Campbell’s Chunky—the official soup of the NFL—has aired plenty of commercials featuring players and their mothers for its longstanding “Mama’s Boy” campaign. The message: If a can of soup is enough to nourish a big, strong defensive end like Reggie White, it sure as heck is enough for you.

This year, Campbell’s isn’t doing that. Instead, the brand is showcasing a head coach—Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams—who encourages people on a break at work to have Chunky for their midday meal rather than unhealthy chicken nuggets or boring tuna fish.
