Amazon One Makes the Leap to Air Travel

Hectic holiday travelers can buy snacks with their palms at one Dallas airport

Hudson, the newspaper, magazine and snacks retailer found at airports and train stations, is bringing Amazon’s palm-scanning technology to its Amazon Go-enabled store at Dallas Love Field Airport.

According to a press release, this is the “first retailer in the travel industry” to add Amazon One and give travelers a contact-free way to enter and pay by holding their palms over the Amazon One reader at the entrance. Once they leave, the card linked to their Amazon One ID is charged for the items they selected.
