FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. Omnicom Group’s Zimmerman has named Chris Carroll evp, chief client officer.

Carroll (shown at right) is a former CMO at Subway who has also held senior marketing posts at Burger King and LensCrafters. His agency experience includes tenures at Arnold and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, among others. He most recently held an equity position with Cosi.

Jordan Zimmerman, agency CEO, said hiring Carroll is a coup because he is someone that “directly understood the pressures of being a client in a way a traditional ad person never could [and] someone focused on ROI at any cost.”

“I knew if I ever decided to get back into the agency business, it would have to be with Jordan and the Zimmerman team,” added Carroll.
