Y&L Serious About Full Service

Onetime boutique Young & Laramore’s efforts to evolve into a full-service ad agency have led to the promotion of account services director Tom Denari into the top tier of management.
Denari, 36, a 10-year veteran of the Indianapolis agency, has been named executive vice president, director of client services and strategic marketing.
Young & Laramore, which started out as a creative boutique, has been working to bolster its account service and media operations, and Denari’s appointment is a “milestone” in the reorganization, said agency president Paul Knapp.
“As we’ve grown Young & Laramore, we’ve tried to structure it so it could handle existing growth and new growth,” Knapp said. Denari’s promotion helps “lend more credence to the account services side as well as the creative side. It’s overdue recognition of Tom as a great marketing mind.”
Denari joins Knapp and agency co-founders David Young and Jeff Laramore in the shop’s executive ranks. He will continue to head up account services and manage marketing and strategy work.
“The main thing I want to continue to focus on is making sure … that as we get bigger, our marketing strategies remain sound,” Denari said.
Y&L has billings of $36 million from clients such as Monsoon, SteakShake and Indiana’s yet-to-be-named WNBA team.
