The New York Yankees not only bested the Kansas City Royals on opening day at the Stadium yesterday, they triumphed over all other major league baseball teams on the Net last week.

According to Milpitas, Calif.-based Nielsen NetRatings, eleven percent of the users who went to MLB.com — the big leagues’ official Web site — during the week ending March 25 then clicked through to Yankee-related pages. The Atlanta Braves and the Boston Red Sox tied for second place, driving eight percent of MLB traffic to its pages.
