WWE Taps Affiliate Marketing Chief

BOSTON World Wrestling Entertainment said it has hired Ken Gelman as director of affiliate marketing.

Gelman’s key responsibilities include managing relationships with broadcast, cable, satellite and pay-per-view affiliates as well as helping to develop the pay-per-view business.

Gelman joins Stamford, Conn.-based WWE after seven years in affiliate sales and marketing with the National Hockey League. Gelman’s most recent position was director of the NHL Center Ice Program, which is responsible for distribution and marketing of the league’s premium programming package through cable operators and satellite providers.

Prior to the NHL, Gelman worked in marketing posts at satellite TV company Primestar.
