Like many entrepreneurs, Steven Izen says that what keeps him up at night is the possibility someone is working harder than he is. Still, the fast-moving founder spent three years finding the right earthly elements—water from Mount Everest, mud from the Dead Sea—as the foundation for his balance brand Lokai. The inspiration came from his grandfather, himself an entrepreneur, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
