Last year, as the Covid-19 pandemic gained its devastating momentum, another scourge emerged: racist attacks against America’s Asian population. The former administration’s language, fanned flames of anger and hate crimes. 

Over time, the stories about violence against Asian Americans became less frequent. It bubbled over in recent weeks in the lead-up to Lunar New Year. Yet, in the face of the former president’s impeachment trial, the incidences against Asian Americans remained largely hidden from mainstream media.
