Wishing You A Mail Order Xmas

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the mail-box, the marketers at Neiman Marcus of Dallas have struck again with their annual Christmas catalog.
Pegged as the “ultimate wish list,” the tony volume shipped to millions of households last week and offers an unusual assortment of gifts, priced from $10 to $300,000.
Interactive ad execs no doubt will be bidding to win the ultimate cyberprize: their own America Online keyword and customized Web site. Bidding starts at $25,000 and includes a trip to Dallas to design the venue, plus a visit to AOL headquarters in Dulles, Va., for a personal keyword launch party.
Need the perfect gift for that baseball-loving client? The catalog offers a piece of history from Ebbets Field, former home of the Brooklyn Dodgers: a pair of original stadium seats for $2,750.
For the budget-conscious, a pair of candles can be had for $10. Or if money’s no object, $300,000 will land you an antique tiara with 120 carats worth of diamonds.
For those more interested in window shopping, the catalog costs $6.50.
