Winstanley Adds Staff

BOSTON Winstanley Associates said it has hired Brenda Gelston as director of marketing to spur new-business efforts and added a pair of professionals in its creative department.

Gelston, 43, comes to Lenox, Mass.-based Winstanley with more than 15 years of marketing experience. She has worked as a brand and business builder for companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations. Most recently, Gelston was the business development manager at Corporate Graphics Interactive Communications in Westboro, Mass.

Gelston has expertise in global business and advertising, including servicing accounts such as Procter & Gamble and Philips. At Wintanley, she succeeds Betsy Strickler, who has left the agency for the post of marketing director at Jiminy Peak Resorts.

In addition, Jenny Wright has joined as an art director and Kelly Gailbraith has come aboard as a graphic designer. Wright comes to Winstanley from Carter Cosgrove in Alexandria, Va., where she developed and designed materials for local and national campaigns including the National Beer Wholesalers Association and the AIGA. Galbraith had worked at Northern Lakes Marketing, a firm in Minneapolis that specializes in banking clients.

Independent Winstanley is best known for its national campaigns on behalf of Spalding Sports Worldwide. The shop employs about 25 staffers.
