Wilson Joins ConnectedBrands

Mike Wilson has joined the local office of ConnectedBrands as creative director.

Wilson most recently held the same post at the Boston office of troubled Leo Burnett Technology Group. He will now oversee creative on ConnectedBrands’ accounts, which include recent wins for Massachusetts-based companies GenRad and Neteos.

ConnectedBrands has also added Michael Quzor as managing director, responsible for overall operations and business development. Quzor joins from ResumeCard.com, where he held the title of marketing director.

ConnectedBrands, a technology marketing agency based in Redwood City, Calif., is expanding its local operations. Adding Wilson gives the six-person Boston office a seasoned creative leader with a strong background in high tech.

“We want to continue [our] success here in Boston and build a presence in this market,” Wilson said. Neteos and GenRad exemplify “the type of work we’re looking for in this region.”

During his tenure at LBTG, Wilson oversaw mainly print-based campaigns for Akamai, CMGI, Information Builders and others. LBTG has suffered deep staff cuts and office closings of late.

Work for GenRad, a Westford, Mass., provider of testing and measurement equipment, will include brand definition, print advertising, direct marketing and collateral—”the full gamut,” Wilson said. Work for Neteos, a Waltham, Mass., provider of Web-based CRM solutions, will include Web site development, print and online advertising, collateral and trade show graphics.

Launched in 1986 as Johnson Direct Advertising, ConnectedBrands currently employs about 70 people nationwide and operates eight offices, including Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh, and Annapolis, Md. Other ConnectedBrands clients include Chordiant Software, AOL, IBM and Mindspring.
