Wieden's Montague Heads to JWT in Senior Role

NEW YORK Ty Montague has resigned as co-creative director of Wieden + Kennedy here and joined WPP Group’s J. Walter Thompson.

He becomes chief creative officer and co-president of JWT’s New York headquarters office, sharing the latter title with Rosemarie Ryan, the agency said.

The office had been led creatively by executive creative director Eric Steinhauser and deputy ecd Nat Whitten. The network does not have a worldwide creative chief.

Montague could not be reached. He has been at Wieden since September 2000.
