Wieden Leads the Way at ADC

NEW YORK Wieden + Kennedy topped the winners at the Art Directors Club’s 82nd annual awards competition, the ADC said on Monday.

The Portland, Ore., shop won three golds for its campaigns on behalf of Miller High Life (“Noah,” “Casanova” and “Gossip”) and Nike (“Presto,” “Angry Chicken” and “Scary Cat & Young Love”). Wieden was also awarded two silvers for “Scurvy” for Miller Brewing Co. and “Before” for Nike.

Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami won two gold awards for “Living Room” and “Lamp,” both for Ikea. It garnered two silvers for “Box of Poison” and “Squadron” for the America Legacy Foundation. Those ads were co-created with Arnold in Boston.

DDB in Chicago took home one gold for “Birthmark/Loaded” for Budweiser and five silvers: one for copywriting on “Birthmark/Loaded” and four for separate radio ads in the Budweiser “Genius” campaign.

TBWA\Chiat\Day in Paris won one gold for a poster, “Broken Thumb,” for Sony Playstation and one silver for the “Broken Thumb” magazine print spread.

Goodby Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco was awarded a gold for “Sheet Metal” for Saturn and a silver for “Digital Crime Fighting” for Hewlett-Packard.

Bartle Bogle Hegarty in New York won one gold for its “AMS-Voice Machine” online commercial for Unilever’s Axe deodorant and a silver for another online commercial for Axe, “Birthday.”

Production company @radical.media in New York won one gold for the “Gossip,” “Mother in Law” and “Noah” spots in the Miller Brewing campaign created by Wieden.

The Art Directors Club received 12,000 entries from 43 countries this year. Agencies will be honored at an exhibition of winning entries on June 5 at the ADC Gallery in New York.
