Where the Jobs Are

Don’t start sassing your boss just yet, but there are some modest signs of life in the market for jobs in advertising, media and marketing. For the second month in a row, the total volume of help-wanted ads in Adweek is higher than it was a year earlier. Half of our six regions are even on the plus side in the year-to-date figures. While the linage totals are lackluster by the standards of the boom years, job seekers can draw solace from noting that the movement now is in a largely positive direction.
