Where the Jobs Are

The market for jobs in advertising, media and marketing has yet to see a postwar boom, judging by the volume of help-wanted classifieds running in Adweek. Still, the across-the-board awfulness that marked March’s numbers has given way to a more varied pattern, with a couple of regions posting numbers that don’t have the overused minus sign in front of them. Time will tell whether that’s the first sign of a recovery in hiring. —Mark Dolliver
