DALLAS — Seth Werner has been removed as president and chief creative officer of Publicis in Mid America, where he oversaw three of Publicis’ midwestern agencies. Werner said his contract was up for renewal at the end of 2001 and was not renewed.

“I was told there wasn’t a role for me anymore,” Werner said, adding that the decision came as a surprise to him. A 14-year veteran and former co-chairman of Publicis’ Dallas office, Werner was drafted to Chicago in the summer of 2000, along with co-chairman Steve Price, to lead Publicis’ midwestern “center of excellence”, which includes offices in Dallas, Chicago and Indianapolis.
