This Week’s Must-Haves: a Super Luxe Clutch Inspired by Retro Candy Packaging

This week, the Adweek staff is highlighting must-have items including chewing gum-inspired clutches, honeycomb-textured nail wraps and furniture with wireless-charging technology. Take a look!

Anya Hindmarch Hubba Bubba Imperial Clutch $1,595

Last fall, the British accessories designer debuted a collection of luxe handbags decorated with iconic cereal mascots like Tony the Tiger and Corny the Rooster. The whimsical line was a hit, selling out several times over. For this season, Hindmarch found inspiration in another childhood favorite: chewing gum. The collection includes a trio of python skin clutches printed with retro graphics from brands like Hubba Bubba, Wrigley's and Bazooka. While the bags will cost you a bit more than your average pack of gum (1,611 times as much, to be exact), they'll last long after their edible alternative has lost its flavor.

Karl Lagerfeld x Tiffany Cooper T-Shirt $84

Fashion loves its felines, and none so much as Karl Lagerfeld's Choupette. After inspiring a cosmetics collection and posing for a calendar last year (she netted €3 million, per her owner), the 3-year-old Birman cat is now the face of a line of T-shirts and accessories. Featuring illustrations by artist Tiffany Cooper, the notoriously straight-faced Karl and Choupette are seen taking a break from their jet-set life to water ski, eat ice cream and dance in hula skirts.
