Wayne Leaves Burnett for Old Navy

CHICAGO Leo Burnett group account director Susan Wayne has taken a top marketing position with the Gap Inc.’s Old Navy chain, Gap executives confirmed.

Wayne, 38, will report to Old Navy president Jenny Ming.

“As hard as it is to lose one of our homegrown talents, it’s good to know that our clients at Gap Inc. recognize Susan’s incredible skills and leadership abilities, ” said Cheryl Berman, chairman and chief executive officer, in a statement.

Wayne was on the team that landed a market research project for the Gap Inc. stores. That project is not expected to be affected by the move. During her tenure at the agency, Wayne worked on clients that included Kraft Foods and Procter & Gamble. She was one of the founding members of Burnett’s LeoShe research unit.
