LOS ANGELES The Washington Lottery has launched a review for its marketing account.

The three-year contract, which includes creative, media buying and public relations, carries the option to extend for up to three additional years. While the budget is developed annually, it is estimated at $6 million per year.

Publicis Groupe’s Publicis in Seattle has handled the account since 1998. It could not immediately be determined if the shop will defend the business.

Agencies must inform the lottery of their intent to bid by Jan.
