Warwick Baker O’Neill has named Malcolm Mac Kenzie head of business development and group account director, a new position.

MacKenzie, 41, is charged with identifying new-business opportunities for the New York shop, which resigned one of its premier accounts, Fruit of the Loom, last year after the apparel com pany filed for Chapter 11.

He will also oversee the Church & Dwight Co. account, which includes Arm & Hammer toothpaste, and the Reckitt Ben ckiser business, which consists of Frank’s RedHot sauce and French’s mustard, French-fried onions and Worcestershire sauce.

The position involves tasks that were previously handled by a number of staffers, said president and chief creative officer Kevin O’Neill.

MacKenzie hails from Grey in New York and Toronto, where he spent nearly 14 years working on accounts GlaxoSmithKline, Procter & Gamble, M&M/Mars, Playtex and 3M.
