John Short, former creative director at Warwick Baker O’Neill, has opened a new agency, Ocean Group, with an old colleague from Lintas, Bruce Kravetz. The New York startup begins with the estimated $25 million Lexmark account, which re sided since 1999 at Warwick, and two other undisclosed clients. The 62-year-old Warwick shut down last month.

“When Warwick’s management asked us what our best-case scenario going forward would be, we indicated that we would like to keep the team intact,” explained Roger Rydell, Lexmark vp of corporate communications.

The team also includes an account supervisor, art director and production head.
