Chris Curtin, Visa’s chief brand and innovation marketing officer, is leaving the company.

A representative for Visa confirmed to Adweek that Curtin, who has been with Visa for seven years, will be departing his post in September. The company did not disclose who will replace Curtin or where he will be heading next.

“Chris Curtin has announced his intention to leave Visa to explore new opportunities and will be with the company through September. During his seven years with Visa, Chris has made remarkable contributions, including leading Visa’s sponsorship initiatives and guiding the brand to a point of prominence with Brand Z, ranking Visa as the fifth most powerful brand in the world,” a statement from the company reads.

Curtin joined Visa in 2013 as global head of new platform marketing transformation and chief digital officer after working at Hewlett-Packard and The Walt Disney Company.
